Brief about the movie:-
It's about 30 minutes long. No products or companies mentioned, strictly academic. However, the speaker is an active consultant to large corporates in America.
Professor Charles King from Harvard University will explain how to evaluate a business, basically he will talk about TRENDS. What is the main factor driving business trends. Why it is important to stay ahead of trends and what happens to a business if it is behind the trend.
In a hurry? The short answer is this, industries like health, anti-aging, weight-loss, security and investments, will-writing and identity protection are the trends you want to be in. See the movie and let the professor explain why. (Clue: Baby boomers.)
He will also explain business models, and why network marketing is a very GOOD MODEL. The inherent disadvantages of a traditional business model. Friends who are experienced in the MLM industry may skip this part, you already know.

3. Comparative Guide
Written by a third party guy, Mr Lyle MacWilliam, B Sc, M Sc, FP, former member of parliament of Canada.
We are very privileged to have Mr Lyle launching the 4th Edition of his book, Comparative Guide To Nutritional Supplements in Kuala Lumpur on the 7th of April, 2007. The 3rd Edition was published 4 years ago. You can still buy it from Amazon but you should get his latest edition from me.

This latest edition of the book compares 1,500 leading products in US and Canada. (The earlier edition examined 1,000 products and compared 500 qualified products only.)

USANA is manufactured complying to pharmaceutical grade production guidelines. Almost all other health food products including leading brands like Amway are manufactured following food standards only. That is why their products are listed in the PDR, Physicians Desk Reference, a very stringent doctors guide in the US which allows them to be recommended by doctors to their patients.
In the 3rd Edition of Dr Lyle's Comparative Guide to Nutritional Supplements, USANA ranked No. 1 with 96.1 points out of 100. Other products that Malaysians are familiar with include Amway's Nutrilite Double X which scored only 30 points and most of the others scoring even less; 21st Century, Centrum, GNC, Herbalife, Matol, NuSkin, Reliv, Shaklee and Thompson. Centrum scored less than 10 points. Now, if the reports in the Guide are not accurate you can bet that Mr Lyle would have been sued much earlier.
Mr Lyle has revised his scoring format in his latest edition. Instead of points, products are now ranked with stars, with 5-stars being the highest. In addition, products and companies that are excellent and exceptional are given Gold Medals. Only four companies have been awarded Gold Medals in his Guide. Of course, they all produce 5-star products. And yes, you guess it. USANA is one of the four Gold Medal winners!
Friends and business partners, what all this means is that you have in your hands a product that you can be really proud of, and feel totally confident that it is safe to recommend to prospective customers.
Honours aside, there's a saying among USANA users, "Don't ask how good is USANA, ask whether you can live without it." Although a poor second to the elixir of life, it is currently one of man's closer attempts at immortality.
In case you're wondering, it is not more expensive than the average consumption of a person currently on health supplements of between RM150 to RM250 a month. It costs only RM175 (product name Essentials, autoship price). Not to mention the apple-to-apple comparison of 96.1% goodness versus say, 30% goodness (Amway).

This is also a 30-minute movie. It is a very useful prospecting tool, just like the Brilliant Compensation movie.
The difference is that it is live instead of cartoon characters. Robert Allen will be talking.

{{{ I was just thinking over this Chinese New Year how hectic life has actually become for many of us. We used to do all sorts of fun and crazy things like sailing, diving and just messing about when we were young and foolish. But today we hardly have any time to even catch up with our close friends. Ayoh!! ….it is only on occasions such as these long public holidays that we get a chance to even catch up ….. even then not with everyone that we should. Some of us even had to start work as early as the third day of the New Year ….. whatever happened to the fortnights of fun and partying …. or even just lepak-ing at home?
I just watched an inspiring movie called "Turn On Your Faucets" by Robert Allen. In this movie Robert shared some interesting concepts, such as harnessing additional streams of residual income to help us buy back some of that time that we had as youngsters. Have you reflected on how life really is recently? Are we really where we would like to be? Doing what we would really rather be doing? We all seem to have been so caught up in the proverbial rat race, climbing the corporate ladders or building our own businesses, that we hardly have time for anything else. My kids, now not so little as they used to be, are growing up super fast too, and soon they will be out partying at the places we used to go. Are we really spending the time that we want with them?
After pondering over this movie, I thought you might also benefit from seeing this movie, too. I really don't know if this would be something that might be attractive to you but thought it might be kinda fun for us to work on this together. It is a pretty big file (67.4MB), so it may take a while to download but be patient, I think you will find it worth your while. 6. Professional Inviter
This is about the best tool to develop the USANA business.
The Number One reason why people do not succeed in network marketing can be traced back to TRAINING.
The difference between this sales training package and all other leading training packages in the market is this - other training packages start from Standard One - and that's why they fail; this starts from Kindergarten. Therefore, it is very suitable for the beginner and for people who have never been exposed to sales before.
I have read lots of books on sales and also attended numerous sales training on insurance and other direct-selling throughout my career but I've never been impressed enough to be active in any direct-selling up to this moment. One of the reasons is that though some of the training I attended can be said to be quite good and systematic, I somehow didn't feel comfortable doing sales. I always felt that there is this missing element.
I'm totally convinced about this "Professional Inviter" training package.
The developer of "Professional Inviter" is Tim Sales, one of the top 10 earners at USANA. He is formerly a high-ranking army man. He is the guy who developed the "Brilliant Compensation" movie, too.
It comes in one CD, MP3 format, available only to USANA members who have signed up. If your downlines wants to listen in the car they may need to burn it into audio format, which comes out to about 7 CDs. I forgot the total running time, maybe about 15 hours. I listened to it twice, on my MP4 player which cost me only RM180. Really enjoyed it.
Imagine the time wasted taking your downline to meetings to get trained. And you have to take them there personally. Furthermore, this is first class training your downline will be receiving. I told Mun Wai "Professional Inviter" is worth my money many times over. The communication skill that Tim Sales develops in us can be put to good use both in our personal life as well as in our business dealings.
Enjoy it if you have the time, you'll be convinced it does wonders to your downlines.

>> All of us can sell, some of us may not know it. It is NOT a skill we're born with. It is developed. If we're married, we have sold our spouse! And that's some selling.
>> Selling is difficult when we force people to buy. Just find customers who love our products or services and sell to them. For example, don't try to sell durians to people who can't stand the smell. On the same note, don't try to sell any other direct-selling to Amway followers. It's going to be very difficult if not impossible.
>> This process is called QUALIFYING a prospect. How do we qualify a prospect to determine whether we should start selling to them? We must be able to first find out their NEEDS, WANTS, and DON'T WANTS. Yes, we need to find out their "don't wants". If during this process we feel that our prospect may not be interested in what we're selling, then we do not even need to present our products or services. We would not even have "rejections".

7. Selling Tips
Here are a few suggestions on how to sell not only our monthly autoship but do more sales on USANA.
1. Create a preferred customer list of say, 20 names. These could be people who have health challenges or those whom you know who are health conscious. Memory jogger: Allergies, Alzheimer's, Arthritis, Asthma, Cancer, Cholesterol, Depression, Diabetes Type 2, Eczema, Hepatitis B, Hypertension, High Blood Pressure, Migraine, Menopause, Osteoporosis, Parkinson's, Pregnancy, Stroke .
2. Don't know what to say? Try, "I found something that I think may help with your health." Or, "I know you have been suffering from (any health challenge) for a long time and I just ran across something that you might want to take a look at."
3. To get them on Autoship, "I am happy you are going to use the products. What I want you to do is to commit to take these products for a minimum of 90 days because your body did not get this way overnight (nodding head while talking). So, what I'm going to do is set it up so that these prodcuts are delivered to your doorstep every 28 days, you don't have to call up and order them, you don't have to do anything and for that you are going to get an extra 10% off. Now I need your name, address, phone number, email, your method of payment and your order." (Begin everyone with Essentials and appropriate optimizers.)
4. Talking points. Read up a bit on your "Comparative Guide", especially understand what is Oxidative Stress and Cell Nutrition. Then you will have a lot of things to share with your prospects. You will be able to easily lead them to USANA's products.

8. ERIC Model
ERIC Model is for short-listing your prospects from among all your friends. These are the prospects we would like to have to be our USANA business partners.
Enterpreneur - Is the prospect enterprising?
If he is not enterprising, 1 point.
If he is as enterprising as you, 2 points.
If he is more enterprising than you, 3 points.
Resourceful - Is the prospect resourceful?
If he is not resourceful, 1 point.
If he is as resourceful as you, 2 points.
If he is more resourceful than you, 3 points.
Intelligent - Is the prospect intelligent?
If he is not intelligent, 1 point.
If he is as intelligent as you, 2 points.
If he is more intelligent than you, 3 points.
City - Is he located within 50 km from your place?
If he isn't, 0 point.
If he is, 1 point.
Then, add up all the points. The more points your prospect has the better he is.
My notes:-
1. Choose the top 25 scoring friends to be your prospects.
2. Don't worry too much about accuracy, things like enterpreneurship or resourcefulness are quite subjective.
3. The idea is just to see who scores more points; try to get people who are more enterprising and resourceful and smarter or richer than us to help us do our business. Then only we can be successful. Also, by doing this exercise we can see that we may be wasting time talking to our closest friends if they score very low.
4. For City, I just ask myself, "Would I mind driving all the way to see this person to talk to him about the business?" If I feel he's too far for me, 0 points. If I don't mind, 1 point.
5. Tip. List down all your friends, then do the ERIC model vertically instead of horizontally, it's much easier.
6. I attach my sample here as an example, of course I've removed all the names.
